All school-aged youth, from all schools and home schools, are invited to participate in the Funhouse’s 14th annual Science Fair on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 12-4pm. Entry is open to students from Lopez, Orcas, San Juan, Shaw, Stuart, and Waldron islands. Hundreds of kids participate each year, showcasing their science projects. The day is full of fascinating learning – and fun for all ages!
In addition to the science exhibits, island innovators share exciting demonstrations of all sorts. Food, music, and other entertainment round out the day while entries are judged and prizes awarded.
Every entry receives recognition. The “Richie Moore Rocketship of Wonder” is awarded to the ‘Best of Show’ project by our Wizard Judges. At the Middle and High School level scholarships of $1,000, $650 and $350 are awarded to the first, second and third place entries.
The Science Fair is sponsored and supported by generous Orcas Island Community Members and Local Businesses. For more information, or to volunteer call 376-7177 or email email@example.com.
